CEU Course Description

Behavior analysts who supervise trainees completing fieldwork requirements for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential must employ structured, competency-based supervision practices aligned with professional and ethical standards. This continuing education (CEU) course introduces foundational components aligned with the BACB Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline (2.0), including performance feedback, assessment considerations, evidence-based intervention planning, behavioral skills training (BST), supervisee performance monitoring, supervisee evaluation, and ethical supervision practices. This course is intended to supplement, not replace, required BACB supervision training. This training program is based on the BACB Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline (2.0) but is offered independent of the BACB.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Apply methods for delivering effective performance feedback using behavioral skills training (BST) components.
  2. Evaluate assessment strategies to inform supervision and intervention decision-making.
  3. Select evidence-based interventions with consideration of procedural fidelity and risk–benefit analysis.
  4. Describe the purpose of supervision and the role of ethical and professional practices.
  5. Identify methods for monitoring supervisee performance using objective and data-based measures.
